Secrets[edit]
- At the start, drop into the blue pool - there is a fake wall leading out of it in the north-west. This leads, via some steps, to a door to an armor, a box of shotgun shells, four rockets, a plasma rifle, and three energy cells. (sector 20)
This map can cause vanilla Doom to display Moiré errors or crash due to the extremely tall sectors. As a result, a modified version of this WAD was created by Michael Novikov which changed the exit of E1M3 to send the player to E1M4. This version is also included in the Doom Speed Demo Archive download (see external link below).
Four monsters (things 290, 291, 287, 292) across the chasm in the room just prior to the red key area are stuck and unable to attack because their platform is too narrow for them to move in any direction.
