Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Open the door in front of you to confront a zombieman guarding a shotgun on I'm Too Young To Die and Hey Not Too Rough skill levels, or shotgun guys on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) or higher, then go round the corner to activate three crushers that you must run past to reach a chainsaw; watch out for some demons that are released as you walk under the second crusher. Go through the door to enter a square room with some imps and note the three pillars in the middle of the room, then go to the east side of the room and press the skull switch to lower the north pillar which has a teleporter on it. Step into the teleporter to enter the south-west room, head east through the damaging blood to get to some steps leading up to the second level with some zombies then use the lift on your left to get up to the third level. Walk along the ledge to another lift and ride it up, flip the switch on your left then enter the nearby teleporter to return to the center area; the pillar holding the red keycard has lowered allowing you to collect it.
Kill any demons that teleport in then open the north door to find another demon (or cacodemon on HMP or higher) guarding a button that will lower the final pillar, letting you reach another teleporter that leads to the hallway visible through the east windows. Press the skull switch by the south wall to open three doors hiding demons and shotgun guys then go through the middle door to find a switch that will lower the wall behind it, letting you drop into a dark rectangular tunnel. Head round to the east side of the hallway, hugging the walls to avoid stepping in the blood, then go through the west doorway to enter a chamber containing the blue keycard on a pillar. Throw the switch in the west wall to open the north wall and reveal shotgun guys and lost souls guarding a second switch, which will open the south wall revealing a cacodemon and two imps guarding a third switch; throwing this third switch will lower the pillar with the blue key.
Take the key then step into the teleporter that appears in the west wall to return to the center area, where some imps and spectres have teleported in. Go through the south door and follow the steps down past some zombiemen, shotgun guys and lost souls to a T-junction with spectres on either side, then turn left or right and go round to the exit door which is protected by imps. Open the exit door and turn round to kill some more shotgun guys that are revealed behind you, then go through the door and press the skull switch on the east side of the center column to finish the level.
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- There are five columns on the second level of the south-west room. Look at the west side of the middle column to see a tiny button recessed into it, then shoot this button to open a wall to the east with an armor and a computer area map. (sector 148)
- Teleport to the area east of the red key, then use the blinking window to return to the red key room. Quickly enter the southeast alcove to pick up a light amplification visor. (sector 124)
- Open the blue door, then go to the ledge at the steps, using a small peg. Open the south wall there to find shotgun shells, armor bonuses and a medikit. (sector 167)
