Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Press the gargoyle face north of the start to lower a lift, revealing an alcove with a shotgun. If you are standing on the very northern edge of the lift as it rises, you will be able to jump to a ledge with a megaarmor. (sector 15)
  2. Lower the lift at the eastern end of the short corridor with the berserk and wake up the demon on the other side. Do not kill the demon, but ensure it remains on the east side of the lift after it rises. The demon will walk over a line trigger that opens up a door directly opposite to the west (accessed by taking the north-west lift out of the start area), leading to a rocket launcher and three boxes of rockets. There is a teleporter here taking you to an area with two cacodemons. This counts as three secrets. (sector 54)
  3. See #2. (sector 58)
  4. See #3. (sector 156)
  5. In the north-west is a room with a switch which opens up six alcoves with monsters. The south-easternmost of these alcoves has a secret door on its back wall (which requires the yellow key, obtainable in the north-east of the level) leading to a switch. This switch opens up a door near the start, leading to a chaingun. Entering any of the six alcoves reveals a second switch in the north of the room (behind the first one) which allows you to exit the room. (sector 142)
  6. In the south-west of the level is a square room with a ledge surrounding a lava pit. There are several switches on this ledge - the one on the western wall raises a podium in the lava pit which has a switch on each side. Jump into the lava, press any of the switches (note that it is not actually necessary to raise the podium) then teleport back on to the ledge. Now exit the room using the switch on the north wall, then press the eastern demon face of the nearby wall. It lowers - upon rising, jump west into a room (opened by the switch in the lava) with a switch. Note that pressing the western switch on the southern wall of the lava wall will raise the teleporter, making the lava pit inescapable. (sector 155)
  7. The switch in #6 raises some nearby stairs allowing access to a soul sphere. (sector 44)
