E2M3: Cancer is the third map of Cringe. It was designed by Mark Klem.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. The door leading east from the long room with the red floor in the east counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 39)
  2. The door leading into the blue key room counts as a secret and is impossible to miss. (sector 51)
  3. Head north from the hollow square lift in the south then jump into the blood to the west. There is a secret door here (marked with a misaligned texture) leading to a teleporter (there is also a lost soul here on hard skill). The teleporter leads to a corridor with a medikit and several monsters. (sector 60)
  4. In the east of the opening room there are ten pillars between the floor and the water areas. Pressing any side of the first, fifth, and ninth pillars (starting from the west) in any order lowers the nearby walls, revealing a plasma rifle, a partial invisibility, a soul sphere, an invulnerability, and a baron of Hell (last two only present on hard skill). (sector 73)
  5. The sector immediately before the door leading into the large nukage section in the north counts as secret. It is impossible to avoid going over this sector, however you may need to take care to ensure the secret is registered. (sector 103)
