E2M3: Caves, Rocks, and Cacos is the third map of Eye of the Beholder. It was designed by Jon Landis, who also composed its music track.

Secrets[edit]

  1. After getting the blue key, jump into the blood and go through the nearby teleporter. You will be teleported to a ledge with a stimpack and a box of shotgun shells. Jump down into the blood and towards the western end of the crack in the floor. You will drop down to a long blood passage which leads, via several rockets and a rocket launcher, to a soul sphere. Note that the part that counts as a secret (just before the rockets) is very narrow, so you might not trigger the secret first time. (sector 144)
  2. Directly opposite the blue door is a ledge with a plasma rifle. (sector 67)
