E2M5: E4M5 - Nukage Spill is the fifth map in the second episode of Switcheroom. It was designed by Micah Petersen (Jaws in Space) and is based on the layout of E4M5: They Will Repent. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 1:30.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Head down the steps in the starting room to an outdoor area with numerous monsters, then head west to a step with an invulnerability. Continue west down the steps and go straight forward to a walkway, then go past some waiting imps and a cacodemon and drop into a large room with a broken path. Follow the path past some nukage to a room with four silver platforms, which have crushers above them; you can run past the crushers, or drop into the nukage and follow it round to the exit door, which is guarded by a baron of Hell. Step through the hole in the door and push through some imps and cacodemons to a button, which you can press to go to E2M6: E3M6 - Bunker.

Secret exit[edit]

Other points of interest[edit]

Enter the nukage in the south-east area and follow it round to find a supercharge at the end of the trench. You can find a radiation shielding suit on the vine-covered ledge above, which can be reached using the blue teleporter on the second level of the structure.

The red skull key found in the center room is optional, but can be used to open two locked doors on the west side of the map. These lead to a berserk pack and an armor, among other items.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the red key room, lower the metal column to the south to find an armor. (sector 40)
  2. In the west room, get on the central railing (you can do this by jumping north from the circular room at the south end, but you need to balance on the railing once you land on it). Go to the east side and face south to see some eyes. Shoot them. Afterwards, get to the normal exit, and near the steps, you can head west in the nukage to the secret exit and shotgun shells. (sector 176)
  3. At the secret exit, open the south wall to get a supercharge. (sector 179)
