E2M5: Through the Eye of the Needle is the fifth level of the episode replacement Eternity. It was designed by Bjorn Hermans and Holger Nathrath, and includes a custom music track.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Once you open the yellow door, open the metal wall straight ahead to find a backpack. (sector 22)
  2. In the room past the yellow door, open the metal wall at the north end to reach a hallway containing health bonuses. (sector 27)
  3. Behind the red door, open the wall dead ahead for a switch which raises the steps accessible from opening the wall on the left side of the room. (sector 73)
  4. In the outdoor area with the white-colored floor in the northern part of the map, you should spot a soul sphere in an interior room. To get it, you can lower the wall on the left side, and find a wall which starts a misalignment in the gray walls. You can also lower the wall on the right, and then the nearest wall on your left, finding another misalignment. Either way, open the wall here to reach the soul sphere room, where you can grab the soul sphere by pressing the switch on the side of the pillar. This area counts as eleven secrets, including the steps leading into the room on both ends, the room itself, and the soul sphere pillar. (sector 99)

  15. Inside the red key room, walk through the fireplace (kill the zombieman inside it first) to trigger a lift going down to a secret room with enemies in cages. At the opposite end of this room you can find a radiation suit, a computer area map, and a box of shotgun shells (this item only appears on Hurt Me Plenty or higher). Up to three secrets can be obtained here. (sector 159)
