Take the Ethereal Crossbow, Gauntlets of the Necromancer and Quivers of Ethereal Arrows in front of you then head east through an opening in the root-covered wall, ready to kill some weredragons and fire gargoyles as well as one or more disciples of D'Sparil that teleport in behind you. Continue north past some golems until you get to an area with a water stream, then continue north over some rocks to see the entrance to the crypt in front of you. Step over the sludge and open the silver door in the middle of the structure, then press the switch next to the silver barrier in front of you to enter the crypt.

Approach the Silver Shield in front of you and a staircase will lower, leading down to a crossroads. Take the east path and go through the door next to the rockfall then head down the stairs to a chapel, where you will see a Tome of Power on a blue step - arm yourself, then walk over the south side of the step to be teleported into a small antechamber with two or three undead warriors; immediately activate the Tome so you can kill them before they deplete your health. After clearing the chamber, turn around and press the switch on the north wall then open the stained-glass window so you can drop back into the chapel where one or more disciples will teleport in. Go back to the crossroads and take the west path this time, where steps have risen leading up to an Energy Orb (and a Mystic Urn on bringest them oneth (BTO) skill level or lower). Go through the stone door here and head forward to a Dragon Claw (plus an Enchanted Shield on BTO or lower), then turn round and kill one or more undead warrior ghosts that try to ambush you from behind.

Look in the south-east corner of the room for a switch next to a green column and press it to lower the surrounding walls and reveal some sabreclaws, then look at the west wall to see two alcoves containing a Quartz Flask and a Tome of Power. Enter either alcove to open the overhead mural and reveal one or more disciples and iron liches, and also open a door in the south-east corner of the room; climb the steps behind this door up to a chamber with two Crystal Geodes and another Quartz Flask, then press the switch here to lower a set of steps in the north-west corner leading down to a stone passage. The passage leads to a room with a red carpet as well as two locked doors; take the Phoenix Rod in front of you and use it to kill any disciples and undead warriors that teleport in, go through the south-east silver door then turn left and go forward to a second door at the end of the passage. Take the Ethereal Crossbow on the bed if you need it, then press the switch next to the wooden lift and ride this up to a waterway.

Cross the bridge on your right and go through a doorway to find a Chaos Device, then follow the hallway to a room with many braziers (the doorway you just came through will close behind you). Head back down the passage to destroy some sabreclaws that have been released behind you, then go back to the room to clear out some fire gargoyles along with golems. Go down the steps and walk round the gray plinth in the center of the room to find a switch on its east side, which will raise some steps behind you leading up to a Hellstaff and a second switch. Pressing this second switch will reveal another set of steps leading up to the yellow key, along with a third switch that will re-open the door leading back to the waterway.

Go back to the room with the red carpet and open the north-east door between the yellow gizmos, then follow the steps down to another crossroads at the entrance to the crypt proper. Walk straight forward (north) and various monsters will be released into the crypt, including a number of disciples; the entrance door will also close behind you, so activate a Tome to help you clear the ambush. Once the crypt is cleared of enemies, go to the north-east corner of the crypt to find a brown rockfall then press the nearby metal sarcophagus to lower it, allowing you to step over it to a passage that ends with a depiction of a robed figure - open this door to find the blue key and a Mystic Urn, as well as a switch that will re-open the crypt door. Backtrack to the room with the red carpet and open the north-west door to reveal one or two iron liches, then press the blue switch behind them to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

  1. In the canyon area, get to the area with the stream then head south until you reach an area with a volcano. Use the gray stone wall between two stalagmites to lower it, then ride the wall up to a Quartz Flask. (sector 911)
  2. At the crypt entrance, head north-west to a serpent torch then walk through the misaligned wall next to it, then open the wood wall to find a Quartz Flask and a Bag of Holding. (sector 507)
  3. At the crypt entrance, head to the north-east corner to find a tiny switch that will lower the floor next to it. Take this path down to find a Crystal Geode, a Crystal Vial and a Timebomb of the Ancients. (sector 565)
  4. After leaving the western-most area you will go through a short passage to the room with the red carpet. Open the wall in this passage with the red banner to find a Morph Ovum, a Shadowsphere, and either one or two Crystal Vials depending on your skill level. (sector 556)
  5. After going up to the waterway before the yellow key area, cross the bridge and turn right to find a Chaos Device. Open the wall behind this item to find a shortcut back to the crossroads. (sector 691)
