E2M6: Life Under the Surface is the sixth map in episode It's Swamplicated of The Joy of Mapping 5: Winter Weekend. It was designed by Leon Portier and uses the music track "Life in the Mines" from Donkey Kong Country, composed by David Wise and sequenced to MIDI by silentzorah. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 1:36.

Walkthrough

Secrets

1. At the start, head northeast and open the east wall to get rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 80)
2. At the start, head south and east to the shotgun. Open the south wall to get a super shotgun and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 120)
3. At the start, head east to three health bonuses and open the north wall to get a rocket and a medikit. (sector 264)
4. Head east from the start following the green path as it goes north. When it heads east again, go to a wall at the corner to the west and open it to get rockets, a medikit, partial invisibility, and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 265)
5. Head east from Secret #4 to a torch and go through the south wall to get a megaarmor. (sector 190)
6. In the large cave, head to the west side where the large vines are and go through the wall to get a soul sphere. (sector 226)
7. Go east from the blue key and open a wall to the north to find a box of rockets, a box of shotgun shells, ammo clips, a medikit, and a megaarmor. (sector 65)
8. In the large cave, go to the brick wall at the east side and open it to get a box of shotgun shells, rockets, and a stimpack. (sector 44)
