E2M7: E4M7 - Hell Is Coming is the seventh map in the second episode of Switcheroom. It was designed by scifista42 and is based on the layout of E4M7: And Hell Followed. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 4:00.

Essentials[edit]

Open the door on the east side of the starting hall, then go through the doorway at the north end of the corridor and follow the passage to a dark room with a chainsaw. Flip the switch in the north-east corner to reveal the blue keycard, pick it up and dodge the demon and/or imps that are released before going back to the starting hall. Open the blue door at the north end to get outside, then head west through the nukage and follow the tunnel to the red skull key. Flip the switch behind the key to reveal a button (guarded by a cacodemon on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher), press it then go back outside to find that a bridge has risen, allowing you to reach the platform in the middle of the nukage. Press the eye switch on the platform then go back to the starting hall, where a baron of Hell has been released, then open the door on the west side to enter a gray corridor. Flip the switch at the south end to open it, then climb the steps in the next room and press the eye switch at the top (requiring the red key) to reveal a teleporter to the yellow skull key.

When you step back into the teleporter, you will return to what appears to be the starting hall; however, when you approach the door you will be ambushed by demons and one or more barons. Fight them off, take the supercharge and plasma gun in this area, then enter the teleporter on the east side of the hall to return to the previous room (the west teleporter goes to a corridor with crushers). Open the yellow door at the south end to enter a room with two sets of silver bars, take the chaingun at the south end of the room to lower the bars, which will allow you to reach the skull switch at the north end, then kill a baron that teleports in and press the switch to open the wall behind you. Go down the steps behind the wall to the exit door and open it to find a cacodemon guarding the exit button.

Other points of interest[edit]

The room on the east side of the outdoor area contains a rocket launcher and a radiation shielding suit.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Use the metal support north-west of the start to find a chaingun. (sector 6)
  2. Take the west path from the start, then go north and west. In this dark room with an invulnerability, find a switch on the north-west column on the north end, which lowers a plasma gun to the south-east. (sector 72)
  3. In the cross-shaped area at the west end where the red door is, go to the north-east square, face west, and press the red button to lower a shotgun. (sector 138)
  4. Open a yellow door to reach the south end. Head to the east passage and open a wall to the south to get stimpacks. (sector 227)
