E2M8: The Heart of Darkness is the eighth and final map in episode Not Egypt Again! of The Edge of Time. It was designed by FireSeraphim and uses the music track "Set Arena" by Scott Branston, originally from PowerSlave.

Inspiration and development

This level was mostly inspired by Set's Arena from PowerSlave (Exhumed), with the boss arena being a callback to Doom's E2M8: Tower of Babel.
