E2M9: Fortress of Mystery is the ninth and secret map in episode The Shores of Hell of Wonderful Doom. It was designed by Eugene Guschin (Wraith777).

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. In the starting room, pick up the armor bonus behind the teleporter at the west side and enter the teleporter from there to enter a secret red brick area with health bonuses and a backpack. (sector 76)
  2. Grab the yellow key to lower the alcoves in the room. From where the yellow key was, enter the third alcove on the left side and lower the wall to get a soul sphere. (sector 77)
  3. The switch in the secret red brick area lowers a teleporter taking you back to the starting room. However, it is not possible to access this sector without the no-clipping code. (sector 81)


Only 66% secrets is possible on this map (see Secret #3).
