E3M1: Dark Chapter is the first map in Hub 3: Soulless of Faithless: Trilogy. It was designed by James Paddock (Jimmy) and uses the music track "Track 47" by James C. McMenamy, from Anvil of Dawn.

Secrets[edit]
- At the west tomb, destroy the tree to the southeast and go to the cave with the Chest Key, a strongbox chest, ethereal arrows, and a crystal vial. (sector 129)
- Take the lift behind the secret exit portal to get flame orbs and Phoenix Essences. (sector 344)
- In the green cave at the northwest end, head to the southwest rock and use the wall covered with vines. Take the teleporter to a chest that contains a dragon claw. (sector 455)
- Entering the level from E3M4 will lead to this secret hall. (sector 495)
- Head north all the way from Secret #4 and west to the switch that opens the tomb leading to the secret exit. Lower the west wall to get a Soul Cube and crystal vials. (sector 498)
- Going to the southeast part of the map will lead to the secret exit portal, where this secret will trigger. (sector 346 via "Actor Enters Sector" thing 964, script S_SecretLevelPortal, and "secret trigger" thing 965)
