E4M1: Hell Gate is the first map of Death Tormention II. It was designed by Paul Corfiatis and uses his music track "Blizzard" (from MAP18 of The Twilight Zone II). In Death Tormention: The Complete Trilogy the map was included in slot E3M1 with several geometric changes, including two new passages.

Secrets

1. Head southeast from the start and find a gargoyle switch in the water. Use it and head south to get a chaingun and a box of ammo. (sector 23)
2. At the east end, look north and shoot the lion switch behind the floating skull rock. Head further south from Secret #1 and into a red cave to get to a soul sphere. (sector 47)
3. Head northeast from the exit room to get a green armor. (sector 73)
