Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Go straight forward (west) until you run off the starting platform, then continue down some steps into a room with a chainsaw and some imps. Climb the left-hand staircase at the south end of the room and follow the hallway to a door, kill the imp and shotgun guy that are released behind you (on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels), then open the door to see some demons guarding a throne with the red skull key on it. When you approach the throne, the floor around it will sink into a pool of damaging blood - drop into the blood to face a baron of Hell, then press the eye switch next to it to lower the base of the throne like a lift, letting you ride it up to the key.

Make a running jump from the throne to reach the surrounding floor, deal with the imps and cacodemons that have been released then follow the corridor in the north-east corner to a computer area map, and a red door that leads back to the starting point. Cross the bridge on the north side and open the red bars blocking it, collect the blue skull key on the other side, then drop into the lava on the east side of the bridge and run through it to reach another red door. Go through the door and climb some stairs, killing any imps that block your path, then open the blue door at the top and follow the ledge south to the white exit teleporter.

Other points of interest[edit]

Press the satyr switch near the starting point to raise a bridge to a rocket launcher.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Fall east of the start to get the berserk pack. (sector 14)
  2. Drop west of the start and head north of the steps. Get on the thin ledge and head west to a supercharge. (sector 30)
  3. In the south room with the switch, go north-west through a wall to find a backpack, shotgun shells, and a teleporter back to the start. (sector 182)
  4. At the east side, go near the teleporter in the blood and use the face to the west. Climb the steps and head south for a health bonus. (sector 43)
  5. Head east of secret #4, then north and west, picking up energy cells and going into a teleporter. You will find armor bonuses and a switch. (sector 203)
  6. The switch in secret #5 opens bars that you can see to the north-east, which blocked a BFG9000. Head into that area again to claim the BFG9000. (sector 184)
