Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Fight off the monsters in the starting area, including demons and a cacodemon on higher skill levels, then go through the middle doorway on the west side (which has a chainsaw next to it) and walk between the imp cages to a spine lift. Activate the lift and ride it up, then walk west to a circular building and approach any of its pentagram doors to open them, revealing a number of imps guarding a rocket launcher and the blue keycard; if the doors close, step on the tile that had the blue key to open them again.

Leave the building and go through the western doorway to reach a junction, then take the south path and kill any waiting imps before opening the blue door in the south-west corner to reach a dark maze, which contains multiple cacodemons on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare. As soon as you enter the maze, follow the corridor all the way north, then go east and north to find the yellow keycard, then continue north to find a skull switch next to a yellow door. Press the switch, go through the door then cross the bridge at the north end of the next room to reach a button; do not fall into the nukage below as it is inescapable. Press the button to raise another bridge behind you, then cross it to reach the exit door and open this to find the exit button.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Immediately open a wall south of the start to get a box of shotgun shells. (sector 70)
  2. Head south in the starting room and into the east alcoves. Open the wall between them to find a box of bullets. (sector 150)
  3. Head south-west of the starting room and cross the gap to the other side. Enter the corridors here to get a backpack. (sector 21)
  4. In the north-east room, take the east lift up and drop south-west to a platform with a medikit. (sector 75)
  5. In the same room, go through a wall to the south-west (where demons probably came out of) to find a box of shotgun shells. (sector 9)
