Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- Enter the southwest teleporter in the hub and enter the nearest building. Jump up at the dilapidated staircase and you can find vases, literal chaos devices, a golden medikit, and an invisosphere. (sector 436)
- In the same village area as the previous secret, go to the southwest building, then jump out the north window, staying on the thin ledge just outside the window. Follow it west, then up, then jump through a window to get Fléchettes. (sector 449)
- In the red fog village (accessible from the northwest teleporter in the hub), enter the first building on the north side. Look up at the east wall and shoot the target. Leave and head two doors to the east. Open the door and get the invulnerability and grey money bags. (sector 1618)
- In the area accessible from the southeast teleporter, head to the southeast area. Head to the east side and open the north wall to get a regensphere, a golden medikit, and a computer area map. (sector 1878)

Technical information[edit]
Inspiration and development[edit]
This map started out as a vague "Dead Simple" styled map with an ambiguous medieval flavor. The blood rising and building up was inspired by similar events in levels from Doom 64 and the rematch against the Bruiser brothers was a last minute addition to the level.
Trivia[edit]
- "The Impaler" is a reference to Vlad "The Impaler" Dracula, a historical figure and the inspiration for so many vampires and vampire fiction.
