Map of Death Fortress
Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. The path that leads to the outdoor area has two secret doors, each leading to a ledge overlooking the outdoor area. Both are marked with some red on the walls. The one on the northern wall leads to a BFG9000. (sector 224)
  2. The secret door on the eastern wall (see #1) leads to a soul sphere. The secret sector itself is too small to receive credit for. (sector 255)
  3. Directly south of the blue key is a secret door (marked with a different texture) leading to a cacodemon, a rocket launcher, and a box of rockets. (sector 310)
  4. Directly east of the rocket launcher in #3 is a secret door (marked with a different texture) leading to a berserk and a teleporter. The teleporter takes you to a room with a megaarmor, an invulnerability, a radiation shielding suit (four in multiplayer), and a route back to normal territory. (sector 312)
  5. Behind the blue door is a switch which lowers a platform with a soul sphere and two boxes of bullets, and also lowers a wall revealing a stimpack, a cacodemon (two on hard skill) and a teleporter. (sector 328)
  6. The teleporter in #5 takes you to a room with five energy cells and a radiation shielding suit (four in multiplayer). There is a secret door in the south of this room (marked with a bright red texture) leading to a backpack. From the backpack, you can drop down into the lava to get a plasma rifle (1-3 lost souls are present). The bright red section of the south wall lowers on pressing, allowing access back to an earlier part of the level. (sector 333)

Bugs[edit]

Due to secret #2 being impossible to receive credit for, the maximum achievable secret percentage is 83%.
