Essentials[edit]

Cross the lava in front of you and go up the steps to a junction, then head north through a crucifix doorway to enter a room with a teleporter. Enter the teleporter to go to the neighboring courtyard and kill all the waiting zombies and imps, then head round the lava pool and press the skull switch in the north-east corner. Go back to the teleporter and return to the previous room, then open the door in the east wall and run through another lava pool to reach the east side; the switch you pressed has raised a step here, letting you reach a tunnel in the north-east corner of the pool that leads to a lift. Take the lift down and go straight forward to the yellow skull key.

Go west through the courtyard to a yellow door and open it, then fight through some demons, shotgun guys, cacodemons and lost souls to get downstairs - you will see the blue skull key on a pillar in a lava pool. Take the berserk pack at the west end of the room, press the gargoyle switch behind it to lower a lift, then ride this lift up and jump to a narrow ledge surrounding the lava pool. Carefully follow the ledge to a doorway and go through it to enter a fiery tunnel, then fight through some demons to reach two more gargoyle switches - the northern switch is used to access secret #1, while the southern switch lowers the pillar holding the blue key so you can collect it.

Go back to where you found the yellow key, then enter the teleporter in the north-east corner to go to a neighboring area to the east. Kill a waiting cacodemon and imps, then open the door in the east wall and follow the hallway to a circular staircase. Go down the stairs (or just drop to the bottom) and head north into a dark room with several monsters, then press the gargoyle switch at the north end of the room (requiring the blue key) to open the nearby bars. Go through the bars to find a cacodemon guarding the exit teleporter.

Other points of interest[edit]

After teleporting out of the yellow key room, press the switch in the next area to lower the wooden dividing wall. A pillar holding a plasma gun will lower in the neighboring area.

Secrets[edit]

  1. At the west side, go into the small maze around the blue key and use the north-east switch. Leave and enter the teleporter to the south-west to get a supercharge. (sector 11)
