E3M8: Gateways is the eighth and final map of ADoom. It was designed by Adam F. Smith.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the area past the south teleporter in the hub, go to the south end with lava. Take the east passage and open the north wall to go behind a baron of Hell's cage which has a medikit. (sector 56)
  2. Take the west passage this time and open the north wall here to go behind the other baron of Hell's cage, which also has a medikit. (sector 59)
  3. Go to the S-shaped passage at the north end of the area past the south teleporter in the hub. From the entrance to this hall, open the north wall to collect a green armor. (sector 73)
  4. In the area past the west teleporter in the hub, get to the north end and go up a set of steps that go west. After doing this, head west, then backtrack and take the thin passage leading to the northernmost part of the area. Get to the switch at the north end and then south to the box of rockets. Open the wall to the south and go through the metal wall that appears to get a soul sphere. (sector 421)
  5. In the red valley after the east teleporter in the hub, unlock the teleporter leading back to the hub and use the lion switch nearby. Return to the northwest cave here and head east to get a plasma gun. (sector 721)
  6. In the area past the north teleporter in the hub, go to the switch column at the north end and use any of the switches, then head back to the south end. The northeast corner is open with an imp inside (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 179)
  7. If you entered the red valley mentioned earlier, there will be an additional alcove in Secret #6 with a berserk pack (also not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 572)
  8. Behind the teleporter in the easternmost area is a wall that would reveal a soul sphere, however this wall cannot be opened by any means and this secret is not accessible. (sector 709)
