E4M1: Aztec is the first map of Death Tormention. It was designed by Paul Corfiatis and uses his music track "Torment in Sight". In Death Tormention: The Complete Trilogy an extensive update of the map was included as E2M1: Lost Aztec.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the east room, open the southwest wall to find boxes of ammo and a chaingun. (sector 16)
  2. Get the chainsaw at the southeast end and head back to see a compartment to the south. Open the middle wall to the south there to get a rocket launcher and a backpack. (sector 36)
  3. Enter the room with two teleporters and head towards them to hear a lift lower. Quickly leave the room and head southeast to a lift. Take it up to get a plasma gun and an energy cell pack. (sector 49)
