E4M4: Doomed City is the fourth map in the fourth episode of Doom: Damnation. It was designed by Ofisil and uses the music track "Undead Troops". The par time defined in the DEHACKED lump is 1:20.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Throughout this level, watch out for various monsters teleporting into different areas to ambush you. Turn left and head forward to drop into the city area, then head straight forward (west) until you get to the second junction and head north towards a tan skyscraper. Go to the west side of this skyscraper and open the piston door to get inside the building, collect a supercharge (or invulnerability on I'm Too Young To Die and Hey Not Too Rough skill levels) then press the button in the south-west corner. This will lower the column next to it holding the red keycard.
Leave the building then head south-west past a gray skyscraper to a lava pit - the exit teleporter is in the middle of this pit. Just south-east of the pit is another gray building with a button on its south-west corner, which you can press to lower a platform next to it holding the blue keycard. With the blue key, head north from the lava pit until you reach a dark building in the north-west corner of the level and open its door to find a cyberdemon guarding a skull switch; kill or avoid the cyberdemon then press the skull switch to reveal the yellow keycard behind it.
With all three keys, go to the south-east corner of the level to find a gray skyscraper with a door on its east side that requires the yellow key; open this door to find some health bonuses and a button to press. Next, go to the gray building south of the skyscraper that held the red key and open the door on its west side (requiring that key) to find more health bonuses and a second button. Finally, locate the building just south of the lava pit and open the door in its west side (requiring the blue key) to find more health bonuses and a third button. Pressing the three buttons will raise a bridge to the exit teleporter in the lava pit.
Other points of interest[edit]
As soon as you leave the starting room, head south to find a chaingun in front of a UAC door.
A backpack, a plasma gun and a partial invisibility can be found in the south-west corner of the level, while a rocket launcher and an armor can be found in the north-east corner.
Search the low buildings on the south side of the level to find a chainsaw between two demon corpses. Taking the weapon opens the building next to it, containing shotgun guys guarding a medikit (or berserk pack on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels).
Secrets[edit]
- Get to the north-east part of the city and use the pillar that has a beating heart on it. Head north-west afterwards until you find a stack of crates. Go behind them to find an energy cell pack, which is the secret. (sector 398)
- Enter the red key building and use the angled wall in the south-east corner to find a megaarmor. (sector 455)
