E4M4: E2M4 - House of the Wicked is the fourth map in the fourth episode of Switcheroom. It was designed by Walter Confalonieri (daimon) and is based on the layout of E2M4: Deimos Lab.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Go straight forward to a teleporter and enter it, kill the shotgun guys waiting ahead then head west across a bridge, which will bring you to a wooden corridor with imps. Go to the T-junction in this hallway and head north to a sealed door guarded by more imps, then walk west and south to find a gargoyle switch (guarded by a cacodemon on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher) that will open the door for you. Go through the door and continue north to find one or two cacodemons guarding the red skull key; stepping on the key plinth activates a crusher above you, so make sure to run over the key to avoid the trap.
Use the key to open the door in the south-east corner, then walk round to the north end of the next room to find a lift. Step on the lift to go down to a lava pool with one to three cacodemons, then wait for the lift to start moving upwards and run off it to land on the central platform with the supercharge; taking the item will lower the wall ahead to reveal a teleporter. Enter the teleporter to go to the exit area and walk straight forward into the lava pit ahead - a bridge leading to the east side will rise. Cross the bridge and approach the bars blocking the exit hole to raise a second bridge behind you, then cross that bridge to reach a ledge with a gargoyle switch and a second supercharge. Press the switch to open the bars and enter the hole to finish the level.

Official[edit]
- After teleporting out of the starting room, head north and take the lift. Go north and step on the pink square to the east to lower the nearby wall. The compartment to the north with a box of bullets and box of shotgun shells is the secret. (sector 121)
- In the lava ring at the center of the map, go around the south part of the ring, then go to the north end of the ring to find a passage to the north which has medikits, health bonuses and demons. (sector 78)
Non-official[edit]
- As soon as the level starts, press the green torch to your left to lower the floor, taking you down to a shotgun, shotgun shells and three armor bonuses.
- In the room past the red door, drop down the hole on the east side and open the wall to find a BFG9000. The teleporter here goes to the nearby platform with the supercharge.
Bugs[edit]
When you approach the bars blocking the exit hole you will cross a linedef that activates the second bridge leading to the southern ledge. If you cross this linedef before the first bridge has fully risen, the second bridge will stop short of the southern ledge; you will still be able to reach the switch, but will not be able to collect the supercharge. This occurs because the second bridge will only rise to the height of the next highest floor, and will use whatever height the first bridge had reached at that point.
