E4M9: Maniac Mansion is the ninth and secret map in episode The Plateau of Leng of Strange Aeons. It was designed by Mike MacDee (Impie) and uses the music track "First Floor" from The Legacy: Realm of Terror.

Walkthrough

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. Near the east end of the first floor, in a room with two couches and a large bookshelf, push part of the bookshelf east to get a megaarmor and a soul sphere. (sector 167)
2. At the southeast part of the red hall on the first floor, head into the room with three couches and a bookshelf. Open the northwest wall to get a yellow skull key. (sector 59)
3. At the northwest part of the red hall at the first floor, open the west wall to get a backpack. (sector 97)
4. At the west hall on the first floor, head north and through a wall to the west with ridges to find an AK47 assault rifle. (sector 123)
5. After you get the yellow keycard, go to the second floor and head to the south room. Open the south door to get a Yithian lightning gun. (sector 221)
6. After you get the Yithian lightning gun, head to the void space and get the energy cell pack in the middle. (sector 26)
