Excalibur is a single-level PWAD for Doom that was released in April 1995. It was designed by Stefan Maes.

In October 1995, the level was one of the inspirations for the launch of the Army of Darkness TC project, and a modified version was subsequently included as E3M6: In The Deal.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. Head south from the start and to the southeast corner. Shoot the wall of skulls to find a chaingun, a stimpack, a box of shotgun shells, and a backpack. (sector 369)
  2. In the starting area, drop into the southwest hole and get a green armor and health bonuses, a soul sphere, a shotgun, and shotgun shells. (sector 434)
  3. In the courtyard, climb the curved steps and hug the outer wall of the building going west and south. At the end, use the east wall. Afterwards, get the yellow key, then head to the southwest part of the castle. Open the northeast wall to get energy cell packs, a BFG9000, an energy cell, a soul sphere, a megaarmor, and a backpack.
