Summary[edit]
Hell's Worst Aim by The Green Herring 3/2/2012 (Requires Doom II.)
This is a quick demonstration .WAD intended to demonstrate that spawn cubes will miss spawn spots if the spawn spots are directly to the east or west of the monster spawner. This includes four rooms with spawn spots in them, each one exactly the same size and spacing, and with the spawn spots each located exactly the same distance from and on the same lines on the grid as the monster spawner. When the level begins, the monster spawner will play its famous introductory message before it begins to spit spawn cubes. It will first launch spawn cubes to the north and south, where they will land on the spawn spots and spawn monsters as normal. Following that, it will attempt to launch spawn cubes at the spots located to the west and east. However, due to a bug, the cubes will miss the spawn spots entirely! They will continue to fly through the level indefinitely, wrapping around the level but never reaching their destination, until the player exits the level.
