File talk:Hexen mana pickups MAP13.png
- Sorry, I wanted to eliminate the possibility of sending a wrong file (the original Quartz Flask picture again). I did send the right file, but the latest revision just didn't become adopted for an unknown reason. These things caught my attention:
- According to the three thumbnails, the version with the Krater of Might is there (the one in the middle), but it wasn't visible until I made the second re-upload. Why the file failed to adopt the Krater of Might picture is beyond me.
- FlaggedRevs announces that Template/file changes in this version are pending review. I did review the new revisions of the file and also Mana, but those actions didn't make the notification go away. You told lately about the FlaggedRevs glitch that happens with files, but I don't know myself how the glitch exactly affects. --Jartapran (talk) 01:04, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
- The glitch with FlaggedRevs won't affect uploads, it just keeps saying that the file is unreviewed when it's marked as reviewed, and I do have a workaround for that (reuploading the file is never necessary). What you experienced with the upload was just a browser caching issue. I've seen it happen myself several times lately - a freshly uploaded new revision of an image can briefly appear as the prior revision because your browser doesn't fetch the new file from the server immediately. This has mostly been an issue since we changed caching strategies after the upgrade to MediaWiki 1.22 - due to addition of the mobile frontend extension, the prior scheme didn't work any more. My recommendation if you see this in the future is to reload the page first and if that does not work, clear your browser cache; you shouldn't have to reupload the file in any case. --Quasar (talk) 05:22, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
