Gateway to Shangri-La is a single-level PWAD for Doom II and a Boom-compatible source port that was released in September 2020. It was created by Xulgonoth and uses the music track "Sleep Soundly" by Stewboy. Additionally, it includes the title music from Ashguine for the title screen and "Shadows of the Dead" by Mark Klem from Memento Mori II during intermission. The par time is 30:00. This level is notable for changing most of its textures to a version of FIREBLU.

Secrets[edit]
- After exiting the starting area, head south down a hole in the wall to find a backpack and the rocket launcher. On the northern wall is a waterfall. Walk through it to find an elevator to cells and the plasma gun. (sector 751)
- In the room right after finding secret #1, one of the torches on the wall is different. Interacting with the torch opens a teleporter to a secret supercharge. (sector 1196)
- After the fight in the room with the four platforms of revenants, climb the pillars out of the room while grabbing a supercharge and rockets. On the last set of right-side pillars, run into the wall to your right to find a megaarmor. (sector 2973)
- Continue climbing the pillars and walk onto the wall separating the hallway from the pit below. Turn to the north and you will notice an odd texture on the tower nearby. Shoot it, and return to secret #3 for a megasphere. (sector 4013)
- Before the northern arena with arch-viles waiting in the center, you will see a set of bars guarding a megasphere to your right. Walk into the arena and immediately turn around. Shoot a switch through a slot behind the left flaming barrel to open the bars. (sector 6066)
