Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

You start the map at a crossroads with roads on either side. Go straight ahead from where you started, the east path. Continue until you reach a gate where the path splits, go to the left side. Go straight on until you reach an elevator that will take you to the underground area, where you will find a switch at the bottom, which activates the yellow key platform, which is on the previous path, where you crossed to the left. Once you take it, return to the center of the map.

Take the west path, continue until you reach a platform after climbing some stairs. Maneuver to the left side, on the south platform, and you will see a silver door. Cross it, go down the platform, fight the cacodemons and go to activate the switch behind the cacodemons. Open a door on the east side. The path will lead you directly to the blue key. Now, go back to the center of the map.

Take the north path, follow the upper path to the right side. You will enter a new room with several enemies. Once you clear it, look at the platforms on the east wall. The third one, located in the middle, is a secret door that reveals the red key.

Once you have all the keys, go back to the start and go through the south path, cross the doors and you will have finished the map.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Head north from the start, then take the fork to the left. This leads down a lift to an invulnerability under a crusher. There is a secret door to the east (this section of wall does not move with the crusher) leading to four medikits, an armor, two boxes of bullets, one box of shotgun shells, three boxes of rockets, and three energy cell packs. (sector 168)
  2. The diagonal section of wall south-west of the yellow key lowers on pressing, revealing two boxes of shotgun shells and an invulnerability. (sector 36)
  3. North-west of the yellow key is a secret door leading to a teleporter to a rocket launcher, four boxes of rockets, and three energy cell packs. Note that the teleporter only works once. (sector 128)
  4. Jump down from the blue key - there is a secret door to the south-west leading to a trench that leads to the area with the three triangular platforms with imps - here there is a secret door to the west leading back to the room west of the start. (sector 28)
  5. Take the door east of the start and go through the door ahead. There is a secret door to the north leading to a zombieman, a shotgun guy (two on hard skill), an imp (hard skill only), and an oval-shaped room containing either a plasma rifle and an energy cell pack (easy and medium skills) or a rocket launcher and a box of rockets (hard skill). (sector 75)
  6. The wall to the west of the oval-shaped room (see #5) is fake, leading to a backpack, two energy cells (not on hard skill), two boxes of rockets (hard skill only), and a megaarmor. (sector 77)
  7. Head west of the start, through the door, and up the stairs. Stepping off to the south here raises a bridge, allowing access to the southern ledge where there is a chaingun, a box of bullets, and a medikit. The eastern wall here is a secret door leading to the northern ledge, which contains a box of bullets and a megaarmor. (sector 119)
  8. The sector between the yellow and red doors is counted as a secret but does not register as such. (sector 169)
  9. The red door counts as a secret but does not register as such. (sector 170)

Bugs[edit]

Only 77% secrets is achievable on this map due to the issues regarding secrets #8 and #9 (see above).

If you take the teleporter behind secret #7 without having walked across the linedef to open up the windows of these ledges (by taking the teleporter out of secret #3), you will be stuck on the northern ledge, making it impossible to complete the level.
