This mod was a runner-up for the 2013 Cacowards on Doomworld! |
Hadephobia is a 2013 megawad for Boom-compatible source ports. It was started in 2010 by Chris Bourke (purist) under the name "Progressive Fiction," in which the levels would follow a continuous storyline written by the designers, and each of them would begin where the previous map left off. The map set was a runner-up at the 20th Annual Cacowards.

Soundtrack[edit]
1. ^ Listed in credits.txt as "Royal Flush" by whitedamp, which is not played in-game and cannot be found inside the WAD. The TNT track is a placeholder track which was accidentally included because Chris Bourke (purist) had mixed it up with "Royal Flush" during compilation[1]. The original music file can be downloaded separately from Xaser's site[2]. |
Built-in demos[edit]
This WAD features four built-in demos. All require Doom II with a Boom-compatible v2.14 source port to view them. The demo levels are:
Demo | Level | Skill | Tics | Length |
---|---|---|---|---|
DEMO1 | MAP03: The Stench of Freedom | 4 | 5790 | 2:45.43 |
DEMO2 | MAP05: Rumex Crispus | 4 | 5850 | 2:47.14 |
DEMO3 | MAP15: Septic Underbelly | 4 | 4043 | 1:55.51 |
DEMO4 | MAP28: Teleportation Center | 4 | 4961 | 2:21.74 |
References[edit]
- ↑ purist: I have to hold my hand up here and say I screwed up with the [MAP31] music. The TNT track . . . was a placeholder and whitedamp made an original track to replace it. Problem was, not knowing TNT music well, I didn't know which was which and the wrong one ended up in the .wad. (The DWmegawad Club plays: Hadephobia. Retrieved on November 9, 2013.)
- ↑ purist: Meanwhile, for Hadephobia completists (if such a tragic creature exists) The Green Herring and Xaser have tracked down Whitedamp's cool midi for MAP31: Royal Flush, which should have taken the place of the TNT track that is instead currently in that slot.
