Doom (2016) multiplayer levels
Heatwave

Heatwave is a multiplayer level in Doom (2016), one of the nine original stock multiplayer maps. Bethesda describe the level as "an industrial UAC facility with glistening halls that will soon be slicked with human (and demon) blood."[1] As its name hints, it is styled after the Foundry level from the single-player campaign.

Analysis[edit]

This is a smaller level that has powerup spawners at either end, connected by three different routes; in deathmatch, a BFG-9000 can spawn at the end with the twin staircases while a quad damage or invisibility can spawn at the top of the staircase near the jump pads. A mega health also appears under the second spawner, but players must be careful not to fall into the molten metal below as this is instantly fatal.

There are two blue portals that allow for faster travel between the two ends of the level, but like all portals there is a risk of walking into a trap or ambush when using them. While jumping around the level, watch out for molten metal pouring from the ceiling as they will inflict 25 points of damage if you step through them.
