This mod received one of the 2004 Cacowards on Doomworld in the Mordeth category! |
Hellcore is a megawad that contains 32 new levels. It had a long time of production (1995-2004), so its maps represent a wide range of mapping eras - from the simplistic levels of 1995 to the detailed 2004 style. Because of this the megawad is generally considered to be of uneven quality. Original music was composed by Simon Judd (sirjuddington); the rest of the soundtrack was taken from various sources.
In 2004 Hellcore received the Mordeth Award of the 11th Annual Cacowards.
On October 29th of 2006, Hellcore 2.0 was released; a 12 map wad containing 9 revamped levels from the first release.
