Invasion II is a megawad created by Paul Fleschute (Moe) and Rick Lipsey, and released in 1998. A sequel to Moe's The Invasion released the previous year, Invasion II is built for Doom II and contains 32 levels alongside a host of new graphics, and music provided by well known composer Mark Klem. Development of the project began on January 1997 and, much like its predecessor, it was at one point intended to be a partial conversion with a host of new enemies: these plans fell through when an update and follow-up to the project, named Invasion 98 and built for the Boom engine, was cancelled. A planned sequel named Invasion 3 meant to be worked on by even more authors likewise was never released.
