Kalle Soittila (Kaapeli47)

Kalle Soittila (alias Kaapeli47 or Kaapeli) is a Finnish Doom mod developer who specializes in multiplayer modding on the Zandronum source port. He is best known for creating Insanity Deathmatch, a deathmatch mod for Zandronum, which won one of the 2021 Cacowards in the multiplayer category.
He is a moderator of Euroboros, an open European third-party server host for Zandronum, for which he also organizes the host's own weekly multiplayer community events, called Euroboros Community Sessions, featuring various Zandronum specific gamemodes and mods. He also runs the multiplayer servers for the weekly BFG Spam Squad sessions of the Hellforge Discord server.
Kaapeli was also part of the lead team behind the Hordamex and Culling Strike community projects in the Hellforge Discord server. For Hordamex he designed his first public map Altars of Defilement with Shakar-a'tar, assisted Xenaero in MBF21 DeHackEd modding, and arranged online playtesting sessions in Odamex with other map designers of the project. For Culling Strike he designed his first public deathmatch map Skylab 9001 again with Shakar-a'tar, and modified the weapons of Tango's Supercharge gameplay mod for the project with Xenaero.
