Laitos is a single-level PWAD for Doom and a Boom-compatible source port. It was designed by Esa Repo (Espi) and uses the music track "Suspense" composed by Robert Prince. Originally created for Doom Center's E1 Contest, it was later expanded and given a standalone release in March 2002.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Open the first door and use the left (east) of two terminals in front of you to open the next door. This leads to armor bonuses and a berserk pack. (sector 8)
  2. On the path to the red key, there is a terminal on the south wall with rockets nearby (the rockets are not there on Ultra-Violence or higher). Use the terminal, then head back to the hub and head to the east, then north to a spiral staircase area (if this door is not open, you need to flip the switch behind the yellow door near the northwest end). The soul sphere here will be accessible if you used the terminal. (sector 201)
  3. Head south from the hall that has the rocket launcher, then southeast when you see the steps. Flip the switch for a lift up. At the top, you will see an arrow pointing towards a window, with another window having a green armor nearby. Jump to that window to get the secret and the green armor, as well as stimpacks. (sector 233)
  4. Flip the switch in Secret #3, then return to the hall with the rocket launcher to find an additional set of steps to the south. Take it to head outside, then head to another set of steps you see to a red door. Open it and go northeast to another set of steps which leads up to a ledge that has the BFG9000. (sector 298)
  5. Flip the switch in Secret #3, then return to the hall with the rocket launcher to find an additional set of steps to the south. Take it to head outside, then go all the way to the west side to find a chainsaw. (sector 299)
  6. In the area north of the central nukage pit (east of Secret #2), head to the switch at the east end and flip it. Afterwards, head southeast of the central nukage pit and go to the lift to the west. Take it up, then in the next area, go to the middle and press on the green wall to the east to access two energy cells. (sector 388)
  7. In the hall southwest of the east nukage pit, head all the way south, then east and flip the switch. Go to the northeast corner and climb the steps. From here, you can jump into the nukage. Head inside the structure in the middle to get a megaarmor and two medikits. (sector 417)
  8. In the hall southwest of the east nukage pit, head all the way south and use the slimy wall near the terminal. You will find health bonuses. (sector 538)
