Lance Lancaster (Aikman)
From DoomWiki.org
Lance Lancaster (alias Aikman) is a Doom level designer who co-created team multiplayer game type deathtag for Doom II with Craig Wessel (Talon) in 1995, which was the earliest known team-objective based game in a first-person shooter involving scoring, before the advent of capturing flags and territories. He also was an employee of DWANGO's hosting provider Interactive Visual Systems before moving to Westwood Studios as a game designer. For this service he compiled deathmatch maps into collections from #1DWANGO through DWANGO6,[1] although he has been criticized for releasing them "without crediting anybody at all".[2] Doom WAD submissions were regularly uploaded to an unofficial DWANGO (The Wall DiSc ][) bulletin board without any supporting documentation which made verifying authorship in the early-internet era difficult.
