This article is about the monster in Doom: The Dark Ages. For other games, see:

A lost soul charging at the Doom Slayer. A second lost soul waits to the left.
The lost soul returns as a monster in Doom: The Dark Ages. Their appearance is much closer to their original incarnation.
Tactical analysis[edit]
Like their counterparts from Doom Eternal, lost souls are suicide attackers that will charge at the player and explode. A shield throw or a few shots from any weapon will destroy them.
Lore[edit]
Lost souls are the remaining essence of damned humans, retaining only scant memories of their mortal lives. Tormented without mercy, work in the foundries of Hell left them broken in both mind and spirit, but they were denied the mercy of destruction. Subjected instead to repeated desecration, they now wander thoughtlessly, seeking only release.
