MAP01: Awakening is the first map of Hellfire III. It was designed by Shadowman and uses the music track "Title Screen" by David B. Schultz, from Nitemare 3D.

Secrets[edit]
- Use the computer in front of you to reveal a chainsaw to the south. (sector 24)
- In the upstairs area, use the yellow switch, then run downstairs and enter the west room with former humans and a medikit. (sector 185)
- Enter the broken elevator at the south end of the downstairs area, then press on the south wall to find a teleporter leading to a rocket launcher. (sector 236)
- In the southeast room upstairs, use the picture to open the northeast closet with a green armor. (sector 353)
- In the northeast room upstairs, use the computer to open the southeast closet with a shotgun. (sector 387)
- In the east hall upstairs, head north and enter the toilet at the west door. Open the wall above the toilet to get a medikit. (sector 395)
