MAP01: Narthex (Slith)

MAP01: Narthex is the first map of Slith. It was designed by Pistoolkip and uses the music track "Don't Stop Bleedin'" by Nathan Maxx (Lippeth). The par time defined in MAPINFO is 35 seconds.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

From the starting area, head north up the v-shaped staircase and follow the hallway until you reach an oval-shaped room with a door on the north side. Go through the door and grab the red key atop the staircase at the end of the room. Return to the hallway and continue east, heading south when the hallway dead ends. Enter the large room at the end of the hallway and head through the red key door to the south east. Climb the stairs and hit the switch at the end of the room. Return to the large room and head west into the now open exit room and press the exit switch.

Other points of interest[edit]

There is a room dead south of the main hallway that is not necessary to enter for progression but contains a green armor, some armor bonuses and four shotgun shells.

Secrets[edit]

  1. From the starting area, turn left and head to the end of the walkway for a chainsaw. (sector 180)
  2. From the starting area, jump south into the pool of blood and go behind the marble face of the arch-vile to find a berserk. (sector 89)
  3. Press on the sigil directly north of the red key to open the wall, revealing a backpack and ten health bonuses. (sector 215)
  4. Press on the gargoyle face on the western wall before the red key door to reveal an imp, 10 armor bonuses and four shotgun shells. (sector 156)
  5. At the far southern end of the red key room, shoot the gargoyle face located outside the window to open a closet directly across for the red key door containing 20 health bonuses. (sector 83)
  6. Press the skull switch inside the red key room and backtrack through the hallway to the north to the monster closet that west of the shotgun pickup. The marble pillar in the center of the closet will now be open, revealing a blue armor. (sector 316)
