MAP01: Prelude to Damnation is the first map of Mordeth. It was designed by Gaston Lahaut (Mordeth) and uses the music track "".

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. In the central room with the red and green rug, head west through the fireplace by using the desk to find armor bonuses, shotgun shells, and a medikit. (sector 53)
  2. In the central room with many bookshelves, climb the steps to the west door, but hug the perimeter walls at the top and go through a vent at the northeast end. Stay on the bookshelf there and head through another broken vent, staying on the wall there to get a box of shotgun shells and a chainsaw. (sector 90)
  3. There are two switches in the entrance area east of the starting point. The south one opens the windows to Secret #1 and this secret. Return to Secret #1 after pressing the south switch and jump south to a secret area where you can get a green armor, as well as a medikit outside to the southwest. (sector 100)
  4. Lower a bookshelf to the south of the blue key to find stimpacks, shotgun shells, and a box of ammo. (sector 132)
  5. In the courtyard south of the starting point, go through the opening at the south end and head west, then north until you can head inside a shack that has a green armor. (sector 263)
  6. In the hallway at the east end, fall into the southeast alcove to find a secret room with a box of rockets. (sector 343)
  7. In the room with crates at the northeast end, climb them and make your way to the northeast vent. Inside, head all the way south across two gaps to get a soul sphere on the other side. (sector 530)
  8. Use the skull switch in Secret #8 to open the door, but wait a while and face the north door. It will eventually lower (this is because of the green gargoyles that come out from the chimneys to the east). The door will contain a rocket launcher. (sector 584)
