Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

The player spawns in a cave lit with several torches. Head south through the opening to exit the cave and follow the winding canyon path up until you reach a bridge. Along the way you will encounter zombie fodder which you can easily defeat with your staff or simply ignore. Walk across the bridge and head towards the large building emblazoned with banners featuring Helloween's logo. Head southwest along the building and follow the path to a cave. Inside the cave is a large pillar, with the Key of The Keeper floating atop it. Drop down into the cave and press the switch on the northern wall to create a staircase leading up the pillar. Climb the pillar and grab the Key of The Keeper.

After the key is obtained, the pillar will rise up into a heptagonal hub area containing seven key blocks and six portals leading to other levels. From here the player can head into any of the six portals to play its corresponding level. Upon completing a level, the player will be returned to this hub area and the portals to completed levels will be blocked off. When the player has obtained all seven keys, they can be placed in the seven key blocks to open the locked door at the north end of the hub, which concludes the mapset.

Trivia[edit]

  • While there is no set order to complete the levels, players wishing to play the maps in the order of their corresponding album tracks should head to the red portal and play The King for a 1000 Years first.
  • This is the only level in the mapset to not be titled after a song from Helloween's Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy album.
  • This level's music track is the only one that is not a MIDI rendition of a song from the album the mapset is based on, instead coming from Helloween's 1988 album, Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part II. It is also not a full rendition of the song, just its opening guitar riff.
