Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

After the level starts you will see a building with a door in front of you and a big grey tree to the left of it. Grab the health bonus in front of the tree, which will cause the ground to shake, the tree will disappear, and an opening will appear behind it. Go inside and turn right. Proceed through the passage until you reach a cave with a bridge. Jump up the boxes to your right to get on the bridge. When on the bridge, turn left and move to the end of the corridor. Open the door, move to the opening in the right wall and jump through. After the cutscene turn around and open the door. Move forward to a forcefield. To open it destroy a large coupling in the alcove to your right. Pass through a room and open the next door.

You will find yourself in a big snowy yard. Go inside a cave to your right. On the fork turn left and proceed forward. Then turn left again and after that turn left once again. You will see a red key marked switch. Come closer to it and turn around - the elevator behind you will go down. Step on its platform and push the button to reach the next floor. Move forward and turn right. Proceed to the end of the large opening and grab the red keycard. Turn around and return to the room with the elevator. Open the door opposite to the elevator. Destroy another large coupling at the far end of the room. This will cause the stairs behind you to disappear and two alcoves will open with the Hell knights inside. To raise the stairs again press the button in the alcove to your left.

After climbing back up you will see that forcefields to the left of you are now deactivated. Go inside the newly opened corridor and turn left. Open the door, enter the room and press the button at the far side of it. A lone imp will teleport behind your back. If you kill it, the hidden alcoves on the both sides of the room will open with some monsters inside. Leave the room and move forward until you will be able to jump down to the cave with the red key marked switch. Use it to lower the blue key. This will also lower the elevator behind you with the mancubus inside. Grab the blue key, which will cause the walls around to broke down and spawn more enemies.

Pass through the cave and return to the central snowy yard. Open the blue door on the northern part of it. Move forward and up the stairs and press the button to your left. Turn around and move back. After climbing down the stairs turn right and enter the newly opened room. Get around the columns and press the button on the wall between them, just opposite to the big door. Note that the button may be hard to see if it is covered in blood or explosion decals. The big door will now open. Press the button on the far end of the newly opened room to finish the level.

Secret log[edit]

After activating a button in the northernmost room (it will spawn an ice imp behind you), return to a semi-crumbled door in the southernmost part of the level. The door is now open - grab the datapad near the corpse of the dead marine with a blue flower nearby. You have recovered log entry 1/7, it can be viewed by activating the console.
