MAP01 is the first map of Equinox. It was designed by Bernard De Windt (B.P.R.D) and uses the music track "".

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

From the start of the level, enter the large building in front of you. At the end of the room, there is a round green door. To the left of it is a small room containing a switch to open it.

Once you enter the door, go to the end of the next room. Behind the round room containing computer monitors, there is a door, and another door behind it. In any order, go through the small doors to your left and right and go down the hallways leading to the switches required to open them. Go through the newly opened doors, and go to the end of the room to exit the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Take the long set of steps to the left of the starting point. Look towards the boat and notice footsteps towards a wall. Press on it to reveal a hidden cave containing an armor and a shotgun. (sector 31)
  2. A hidden compartment in secret #1 can be accessed by shooting the picture on the wall. A computer area map is inside. (sector 24)
  3. When you enter the main building, take the first door you see on the left side. Inside this room of corpses, go to the northwest corner and press on the wall with two bloody hands to reveal a passage. Follow this passage to a lift and ride it up, where you will find the secret with a medikit and a box of ammo. (sector 163)
  4. The connecting passage in secret #3 leads to another lift. Ride this one up to a ledge with health bonuses and two switches. (sector 195)
  5. In secret #4, press on the rightmost switch to reveal a passage to your left, leading to some supplies and a soul sphere. (sector 99)
