MAP02: Blood Mountain is the second map of Judgment. It was designed by Blake Collins (Rayziik) and uses the music track "Gravelord's Lullaby" by Brayden Hart (AD_79). The par time is 8:00. In the Retrial edition this level received small changes in geometry and modest thing population updates.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
You spawn next to a pool of blood on the southern tip of the map. Inside the pool, you will find a chainsaw, and two demons and a cacodemon will spawn in as soon as you set foot in it. A skull switch at the northern side of the blood pool will raise a staircase out of the blood pool. As you fight the monsters, you will alert a crowd of demons to start teleporting in to the area above the pool. The staircase is narrow enough to allow you to use the chainsaw to kill these demons one at a time. As you ascend, you will also cause a group of dark imps to teleport in to the north behind the demons, who can be manipulated to cause infighting among them and the demons.
Once you get out of the blood pool, travel west in the open court area. In the southwestern part of the courtyard, there is a minigun guarded by two Hell knights on pillars and two Fallen. Once you have defeated these enemies and picked up the minigun, head through the door to the west.
These doors will lead you to a square room with a fountain in the center and a super shotgun right in front of you. Make sure to take a good look at the room and have enough health and ammo, because picking the super shotgun up will darken the room and spawn two arch-viles, one after the other. There is a column in each corner of the room that you can use for cover. The lightning will return to normal after about 20 seconds, and windows in the northern and southern wall will open up, revealing four chaingunners.
From here, you can choose whether you want to get the blue or red key first.
Blue key[edit]
Starting from the square room you fought the arch-viles in, go through the southern door. You will enter a room with some chaingunners on the opposite side, as well as a bridge in the center of the room. Once you defeat the chaingunners, cross the bridge, which will spawn in two Hell knights on each side. Make sure to cross the bridge quickly, so you do not get trapped on it by the Hell knights. Once you have killed them, activate the switch to open a door on the eastern side of the room.
The area right past the eastern door is full of dark imps and former marines, as well as a pain elemental. They are close together, so blasts from the super shotgun or rockets will be very effective here. Once you kill these monsters and travel east up the stairs, you will be ambushed, and more dark imps and former marines, as well as Hell knights will spawn out of teleporters to the north and east of your location.
Travel further east, and you will come across a group of mancubi protecting the blue key. Kill these mancubi, and activate the skull switch to the north to open a wall to the south, which will reveal a small cave filled with demons and revenants. Once they have been killed, go into the cave you just opened to activate another skull switch past some hanging corpses. This will teleport in an arch-vile outside of the cave, as well as lower the platform that the blue skull is on to allow you to access it.
Red key[edit]
Starting from the square room you fought the arch-viles in, head through the northern door. You will find a wide, rectangular room, with several chaingunners and a mancubus at a vantage point on the western side. (There is a soulsphere to the east that will spawn a group of dark imps upon pickup.) Head to the southwest, past a line of crushers that guards a switch, which will open up a wall to reveal rocket ammo and a few lords of heresy. Afterwards, travel southeast to find a newly raised staircase, which will be occupied by a few chaingunners.
The stairs lead onto a long walkway which is at first completely empty, but will have several cacodemons and a pain elemental spawn in once you walk past the third torch in the northern wall. The pain elemental spawns closest to the room you just came from to the west, so you can run back into the previous room and gun it down to keep it from spawning lost souls. Once you have killed the pain elemental and cacodemons, the red skull can be found on the eastern end of the walkway.
The red skull can be used to access a room on the far west of the map, and the western side of the first square room. This room has a Hell knight and a few dark imps and former marines, but also contains several boxes of bullets and shells.
The final room[edit]
Once you have both keys, you can enter the eastern area through either door. This area has a mancubus on both the northern and southern walkways, a lord of heresy on the exit platform to the far east, and several dark imps on platforms in the center. Killing the imps in the middle will cause other dark imps to spawn in their place, followed by a few chaingunners, and eventually an arch-vile.
There are two switches on the eastern side of this room that require keys. The red switch to the north will raise platforms between the northern and southern sides of the room, while the blue switch will raise platforms that allow you to get to the exit from the first set of platforms. Each switch will spawn revenants behind you. Once you have activated both of these switches, use the platforms to reach the marked exit to the east.

Secrets[edit]
- Make your way to the switch at the northwest end behind the crushers, then go to the rocket launcher to the east. Look north and shoot the skull to open a teleporter behind you to get a plasma gun. Another way to get this secret is in the southwest corner, across the bridge to the west and open a wall there to find a teleporter to the plasma gun. (sector 75)
- In the large outdoor area, head to the northwest corner and find the skull switch. Press it and open the west door to get a blur artifact next to the door. (sector 317)
- At the south end, climb the steps behind the blue torches and use the switch on the east side of the south torch. Head east to get the soul sphere. (sector 702 in the original edition, sector 642 in the Retrial one)
