MAP02: The Boneyard is the second map of Ashes 2063. It was designed by Vostyok and uses the music track "Legions of the Dark" by John Weekley (PRIMEVAL), which is split into two parts: an ambient section that plays throughout most of the level, and a battle theme that is triggered toward the end. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 8:00.

Secrets[edit]
- At the north end of town, head up the steps to the hotel, then head to the east side of the balcony. Jump east, over the truck, then to the broken wall. Past it, enter the south building to get food and light bullets. (sector 1185)
- Enter Historic Route 66 and head to the southwest part of the building. Enter the last fitting room and shoot the glass to enter a room with shotgun shells and painkillers. (sector 625)
- Enter the men's restroom in BFB and shoot the vent. Enter it and at the other side you can find armor scraps and a jackhammer. (sector 827)
- Open the blue door at the south end, then go to the south side. Open the small wall below the middle silo to find a collectible. (sector 208)
- Enter the building east of the gas pump, then head to the counter behind the glass in the first room. Open the east closet to find pipebombs. (sector 401)
- Further south from Secret #5, you will find a place with three valves. Fill up the tank on the left and leave the room because it will explode. Return to the room and go to the southeast corner under the fire. Follow this path to find food and leather armor. (sector 587)

Technical information[edit]
Inspiration and development[edit]
Another level that went through multiple iterations - the central gas station was originally intended to explode in a dramatic set-piece. The "GasExplosion" actor created for this purpose can still be found in the files.
Trivia[edit]
- The flower bed and "whistle" audio clip encountered when finding the Jackhammer secret is a reference to Rue from The Hunger Games. The t-shirt display in the gift shop also prominently displays logos of other post-apocalyptic themed franchises.
