MAP02: Underground is the second map of Into Sandy's Cities. It was designed by GermanPeter.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Turn right immediately and go down some stairs to get some armor bonuses. Then come back up. If you get hurt during the level, there is a medikit here. Go across the starting area and open the door. There will be a couple zombiemen here and a shotgun guy, and imps to the right, but they are the last priority. Kill them all, then turn left and flip the switch, allowing access to a new part of the map.
Go to where a segment of the large hallway around the map rose, and pull the switch to lower it. There are also four shotgun shells here, if you want them. Then, go right, watching out for the imp that will ambush you from a turn. Go past it once you have killed it to a water area with some armor bonuses, and turn left at the end for a stimpack and a chance to ambush the former humans in this next area from behind. Once you engage them, some more will come to their aid from around the corner, so watch out. There is a fork in this next part. Turn right to face some zombiemen, who were in ambush mode and did not respond to the gunfire earlier. Turn right immediately, and open a door, in order to enter a room with some more former humans. Some troopers will come to their aid from around the corner, and if you turn the corner, there will be one more. If you go toward him, the lights will turn off, and a monster closet will open behind you with demons and imps, but the reward is very much worth it: the super shotgun is at the end of the corner the lone trooper was standing in!
Exit the room, grabbing the medikit in the closet if you need it, turn right, and kill the lone imp here that is on a ledge. Make a u-turn back to the fork, and take the path you did not earlier. There are some imps and a demon in this well-lit area, and as soon as you walk forward, more imps and some troopers will notice you, and attack. Go straight, and turn right to see a niche in the wall with a switch inside. This raises part of the hallway, allowing access to the starting area.
In the well-lit area, there is an unlocked door (the other ones are red and yellow). Go through it to find several shotgun guys. If you fire your super shotgun immediately, you will be able to kill most of them before they can retaliate. The left door in this room leads to some spectres, and is only required for 100% kills, as they are in ambush mode and will not react to gunfire in the adjacent rooms. The right door leads to some imps, the yellow key, and a stimpack.
Go back to the well-lit room and open up the door to the building at the other end. There are some demons and shotgun guys here, and if you turn the corner and grab the red key, a closet will open up behind you with some imps, and one outside with more imps and some demons. You can snipe them from here, as the imps' fireballs are too big to fit through the window, and the demons are melee-only enemies. There are some shotgun shells and a rocket in the closet they came from. Open the red door around the corner, to be faced with a shotgun guy on HMP skill level and higher, and the exit switch.

Secrets[edit]
- Before raising the water in the middle of the map, jump into it and head to the east side. Take the south steps up to a green armor. (sector 73)
- Head north from Secret #1 to more water, then west. Open the west wall to obtain a berserk pack. (sector 21)
- Go to the switch in the center of the map that raises the central waterway. The wall to the south will lower, revealing imps. Lower the south wall there to get a medikit and a megaarmor. (sector 25)
