MAP02: Underhalls is the second map of Doom 2 In Name Only. It was designed by _bruce_. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:30.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Follow the path round to a yellow key door and kill some waiting zombies, go down the steps to a shotgun then drop into the water below. Go through a door to the south and turn left to kill some more zombies, then drop into the trench behind them and follow this until you reach a super shotgun that you can use to kill the monsters ahead. Go through the doorway next to the super shotgun and climb the steps to a teleporter pad, which will raise the floor ahead when stepped on, then walk across that floor to get the yellow keycard. Activate the metal lift just west of the key and ride it up, then activate a second lift just ahead and kill a waiting demon before riding this up to a switch. Pull the switch to open it and find yourself back at the starting point.

Kill the imps that have been released ahead then open the door next to them and walk through the low doorway on your left. On I'm Too Young To Die (ITYTD) and Hey Not Too Rough (HNTR) skill levels you will see the blue keycard in a water pool ahead, but on Hurt Me Plenty or higher you will need to go up the steps in this room and follow the path to a lift; activate that lift and ride it up then push past a demon and one or more shotgun guys to get to the blue key (this item is replaced with a berserk pack on ITYTD and HNTR). Go back to the pool and open the blue bars in the south-west corner then step past them to a lift. Activate this lift and ride it up to find a few more imps and other monsters guarding the exit switch.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the water pool in the north-west corner of the map, press on the metal panel to lower two nearby walls, revealing health bonuses and a switch. (sector 131) The switch lowers the supercharge south-east of this pool.
