MAP03: Degenerator is the third map of Earthless: Prelude. It was designed by James Paddock (Jimmy) and uses the music track "Dark Halls" by Robert Prince. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:00.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the small hall with the skull switch that lowers the red keycard, to the opposite of the hall is a metallic techno wall which can be lowered to access a box of bullets and a backpack. (sector 272)
  2. In the toxic maze near the end of it is a wall with metal borders on both sides of it. Open it like it is a door, inside are a megaarmor and 20 health bonuses. (sector 312)
  3. At the end of the level go through the yellow bars after killing all the teleporting enemies, then make a left and lower the wall with cracks and holes in it to get a soulsphere. (sector 248)

Bugs[edit]

The nukage pit around the yellow keycard has some problems:

  • When the bridge to the yellow key is raised, the sides of the bridge sport switches (linedefs 1599, 1598, 1597, 549), suggesting that the bridge can be lowered for access if the player falls down. The switches are in fact not tagged to any sector that exists, making them do nothing at all.
  • When the bridge to the yellow key is raised, the lift on the east side that allows a player to get up after falling into the pit can still be used. Pressing its button (linedef 914) at this point reveals the east side of the raised bridge, which is untextured.
