Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Take the berserk pack and shotgun to your left then open the door to confront two imps and/or a revenant. Head up the round staircase and kill another four imps, then run across the gap and turn left to see a chaingun. Just ahead are two arched windows with more imps behind them - step through either window and turn left again to see a Hell knight, push past it and walk forward until you see two crucifix buttons appear by the door on your right; these buttons will open the door once you collect their respective keys. Take the rocket launcher here then continue west to find a megasphere (or supercharge on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher) next to two more buttons, which have chaingunners in front of them on HMP or higher. Press both buttons then follow the path east and south to a narrow tunnel that leads to a super shotgun - there are some narrow ledges ahead that lead down to the red skull key, but approaching it will reveal five imps (or shotgun guys on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare) that are hiding in the surrounding pillars.
Drop into the water below and leave the room by the south doorway, then follow the river south and east to a chaingun guarded by a demon. Continue east and north past some more demons to a red teleporter and enter it to reach the room with the yellow skull key; taking it will not trigger a trap immediately, but stepping away from the altar will open a closet with one to three revenants (and cause one or two mancubi to appear outside on HMP or higher). Enter the closet and press either of the yellow crucifix buttons inside it to lower the lifts on either side, which hold a knight each, then press another button inside the shaft to raise the lift again so you can get out. Go back to the exit door and press both buttons to open it and reveal six revenants, then head up the steps to another door and open it to find an arch-vile standing on the exit teleporter.
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- Facing away from the northern yellow lift in the south-east part of the map, the wall directly to the right of the opening can be used. The passage behind it leads to the water below, with a supercharge, two clips and several armor bonuses. (sector 370)
- Near the western yellow lift in the south-east part of the map, the wall directly to the left of the northern pillar with the yellow runes can be opened. Inside is a box of rockets and an armor (plus a megaarmor on HMP or lower). (sector 182)
