MAP03: Residential Area I is the third map of Alternate DOOM II. It was designed by Alden Bates.

Secrets[edit]

  1. The bookcase in the red key room is a secret door leading to a box of shotgun shells, a plasma rifle, a backpack, a berserk and an armor. On hard skill there is also a heavy weapon dude. (sector 43)
  2. The corridor west of the room with the mancubus and soul sphere has a secret door in the north-west (marked with a different texture) leading to a box of shotgun shells and an energy cell. On multiplayer there is also a rocket launcher. (sector 90)
  3. The path leading to the blue key has a secret door on the east wall (marked by a picture on the wall) leading to a passage to an area which originally contained an arachnotron (not on easy skill) overlooking the previous room. This area has a secret door to the east (marked with a different texture) leading to the symmetrically opposite area, which contains some ammo and a chainsaw. On multiplayer there is also a plasma rifle. (sector 107)
